Descriptif

This course is intended for students who want to increase their familiarity with the practical functioning and organization of the financial system, with an emphasis on financial institutions, markets, innovation, and crises as well as current issues in finance.
Students have to access the Bodies’ platform for the book “Investments Global Edition”, Bodie, 12e.

During classes, student must summarize additional readings on the following topics: the agency problem in finance, the Efficient Market Hypothesis, Stock buybacks, Private Equity, Investment professionals and Duties, ESG and responsible institutional investing around the world, Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) in Europe, and ETFs.

Plan / Sommaire

Over a total of 4 weeks, students are required to read and train themselves on 4 chapters of “Investments Global Edition”, Bodie, 12e. During debriefing classes, students must also summarize some literature reviews on current related topics.
